Community Outreach

Thanks to our customers' support as well as rescue partners like SparKy, we have been able to help a number of needy animals from right here in our community. See some of their stories below!

Jake

Jake was our very first official Paws Town foster dog for Saving Paws Animal Resscue of Kentucky (SparKy) and he made the job incredibly easy! Jake had a case of mange (not contagious to other dogs), so he looked pretty rough when he first came to live with us! After nearly two months us, he looked fantastic and was adopted by an employee's grandfather who was looking for a companion. It was a match made in heaven!

Sarasota ("mama dog")
+ puppies!

If you've been in Paws Town over the past year, there is a good chance you've heard this little girl's voice. Sarasota was taken into SparKy Rescue with a litter of puppies. When it became apparent that her personality was...less than pleasant... Terri was asked to evaluate her for adoptability. "Mama Dog" was deemed not a jerk, but also too feral to be adopted out. After a long process of rehabilitation, she stopped alligator rolling on leash, started enjoying toys and walks, and learned to love the humans around her. She still doesn't care for human touch, she's quite happy holding position of "forever foster" and "Queen of Reception" at Paws Town.

Bubblegum (& Kittens)

Bubblegum was in a local shelter when they discovered she had given birth to kittens. Thankfully, SparKy Rescue stepped in to pull them as kittens can get sick in a shelter very quickly! We offered to foster the entire family, and let's just say that was an ADVENTURE! Bubblegum and her kittens all went to homes of their with one even being lucky enough to get adopted by our very own Sarah!
